A Methodology for the Formation of Highly Qualified Engineers at Masters Level in the Design and Development of Advanced Industrial Informatics Systems

The main goal of the project is the integration of a Problem Based-Learning (PBL) methodology in Industrial Technology Masters Degrees of PC for the formation of high qualified engineers in the design of advanced and distributed Industrial Informatics Systems based on microcomputers, industrial computers and mobile and cloud computing platforms. The project’s target are: students, teaching/administrative staff of educational organizations.

The project will undertake the following specific objectives:

  • Propose the PBL methodology and develop the resources for teaching the proposed Advanced Industrial Informatics Specialization Module (AIISM).
  • Analyze the curricula of the HEIs of the PC and adapt AIISM to integrate it in the specific study program of each PC.
  • Design training courses and perform the formation of PC teachers, technicians and administrative staff.
  • Implement AIISM-PBL methodology in PC and assist them during its deployment.
  • Assess the implementation of AIISM.
  • Disseminate and exploit the results among stakeholders.
